Awana Grand Prix

We had a fun morning competing in the Awana Grand Prix at our church. The event was very well organized, and such a fun competitive environment for our little ones. Kaitlyn had a ton of fun sanding, and painting her car this year - her and daddy's first year at Awana Grand Prix. What a suprise that she took home a 2nd place trophy for speed! My husband is a car guy, and loves to tinker with small machines and had a lot of fun with this. It will be interesting to see what they come up with next year. I might even have to enter a car in the race too! Maybe a spool of thread car. I'm picturing all those fun cars on Busytown Mysteries -my daughters favorite show.

Here are some photos from our big event.
Her cars name is "Shark Attack"
Little racer friends showing off their cars. Joshua made a train that took 2nd place for speed and design in the open competition. Kaitlyn took 2nd place for speed in the Awana Club competition. Pretty cool, two buddies won!

Setting "Shark Attack" on the track for the big race.
Shark was neck and neck with Angry birds. The shark seemed to pick up speed right at the end. The race is checked with a lazer, pretty serious :)

Receiving her trophy
Walk of fame! This girl is hooked on racing, and I think her dad is too.

Happy Saturday to you all!
